How to get WOW Eyelashes!

Sophie Ellis Bextor
New Rimmel London model...I love her look and her hair!

Sideways eyelashes
Miracle Worker !

Every girl wants wow eyelashes for whatever reason! Mostly because we want to attract the guys with our eyes! If you've seen The House Bunny you'll recognize this quote:

"The eyes are the nipples of the face."

I say amazing quote, really! It tells the truth!!

Back to eyelashes...we all want super long eyelashes b/c for some reason it just makes us look sexier!

I at least have long eyelashes but to make them look better, I use mascara. There are many women who wish they had long eyelashes. To solve the problem they either use medication like Latisse ( http://www.latisse.com/ ) or fake eyelashes. But mostly they use mascara! And I think thats the best solution as long as you find one that actually works for you.

Mascara is similar to hair products. You have to buy it in order to use it to see if it works for you or not. Some mascaras work, others don't...and sometimes it depends on the person...maybe even how you use it. Its weird but if you don't put it to the test then how do you know which ones the right one for you!

I always change my mascaras...from maybelline to rimmel to whatever! I like to try them all, when I can!

The one i'm using now is from benefit and to tell you the truth...it has been the best I've used so far, aside from rimmel (that one is super good too!). It really brushes through your eyelashes separating them to make them look full. What I also do is that I brush them sideways towards the end of my eyebrows making them have a little flip to the side. It makes them look sexy and when I smile it forms symmetry to the face!

Another thing, when your mascara starts to stink up it means its ready to be thrown out, if you didn't know. If you cannot distinguish the smell then I suggest you smell it when your going to apply the mascara. That way you can tell the difference from the good smell to the bad one.

Until next time...take care!

Louboutin stiletto heels = wonderful!

That's right: don't be afraid! I say this because really theres nothing to be afraid of other than the fear of falling wearing those shoes but once you get the hang of it, your fine!

I remember when I was a little girl, I LOVED to play dress up. I would always go to my mothers closet and try on everything, especially the high heels. Even if they didn't fit me I would wear it and spend hours walking around with them (well obviously trying b/c they were too big). So, if I could do that at such a young age, why can't you?

If you do wear stiletto heels, then I'M PROUD OF YOU! If you haven't and your scared...please get a pair and just practice in your house so that you'll get used to them. Trust, once you do, theres no going back!

Anyways back to stiletto shoes! Aren't they wonderful?! Sure, they hurt like hell but come on its so worth it! They always make me happy and confident! I think the reason why is because i'm only 5'1, so, you get the point!

The great thing about these heels is that they make you feel very powerful.

Reasons why:

1) They make you look sexy. Hence, making every hot guy look your way!

2) They make you look professional even if your not.

3) If someone ever dares to mess with you, especially a guy, you can just take them off (on time of course) and stab him/her with it!

4) They make you taller which the taller you are the more intimidating you look! Sometimes its good and sometimes its not. Tip: If your date is taller than you, don't ever try and look taller than said date!

And I think thats about it!

Another great thing about these heels is that you can probably wear them with anything.
-Shorts--super sexy!
-Jeans- any type
-Dresses
-Skirts --they look adorable
-Bathing Suit...if you want to look elegant wearing a bikini (check: Sex & the City)
-etc.

But I wouldn't wear them with bermuda jeans...at least for me I don't like it! If you like them and they look good on you then I'm glad! But they don't look good on me so I don't make that combination.

If you make a combination and it looks good on you, go ahead and wear it. Don't you dare care what other people think. I used to do that and it just stopped me from wearing what I wanted to wear and what I thought looked amazing. Just as long as you don't cause a scene or a scandal like peoples eyeballs falling out b/c of what your wearing (which can never happen) then your fine. But if your bothered by people looking at you weird just forget about it! Go ahead and wear what you want!

That is all for tonight! Later on i'll most probably post something on mascara b/c I really have nothing to do! Its a Saturday and its raining and I'm just in my backyard relaxing with my dog! I'm gonna go eat some delicious homemade chocolate cake which my mother did and then i'll work on my next post...until next time!

Much L.O.V.E.,

P.S. Christian Louboutin heels: (for Anya :D ...thank you!)

Long time, No POST!

Hey everyone!

I feel terrible that I haven't posted :(
I think my inspiration has subsided and that is NOT GOOD! But I don't think thats the problem. I think the problem is that I've been out enjoying my summer when I should be 1 updating my blog and then 2 enjoying my summer.

The positive thing about this is that I got an incredible tan from the powerful rays of the sun!

But thats not the reason why I'm posting. I'm posting because I need your help. I need you to decide for me what would you like to hear from me?

I have different things to write about but I cannot decide. These are:

-Stilleto shoes
-Mascara
-Flats
-Big Hair
-Extensions
-Sailor inspired clothes
etc. ....so many things but I cannot decide!

So this is where you come in and write a comment saying what would you like to read! THANK YOU!

Love,
Gil

Take care everyone!!

Bright Yellow Eyeshadow

Good evening, readers!

Ever since I saw the music video of Cristina Aguilera's new song Not Myself Tonight, I've been a little bit obsessed with yellow eyeshadow. Not just yellow eyeshadow, no, BRIGHT YELLOW EYESHADOW!

I know its very exotic but come on, I do live in an exotic environment. Anyways, if you've seen the video, you'll know what I mean but if you haven't then the only thing you need to know is that in some parts of the video she wore bright yellow eyeshadow! AND IT LOOKED AMAZING!!!

I started to have an interest in eyeshadow when I actually started to notice them on models in magazines. I do the usual: base, blush, mascara, maybe some eyeliner, and thats it. When I look at magazines, I just look for clothes but then one day I looked at the faces of the models and there I began to notice the wondrous work of what eyeshadow can do to a women's eyes.

So, I've been using a lot of eyeshadow lately. Then when I watched the video it was like a dream come true when I saw that nice color of yellow!

This yellow is perfect for a night out! If your going to hang out with just your friends hoping to meet a guy then this eyeshadow is perfect for that. Its nice because it makes your eyes pop and it doesn't make the people around you go ugh! You don't want that.

Another way of using it is during the day. And its good because your surrounded by bright colors during the day (thats if its not raining) and it makes you blend in! Its also pretty comforting.

Either way, it works really nice. And I believe it looks good on any skin tone.

What I like to do with eyeshadow is experiment; just like with my clothes. I don't plan on what eyeshadow I'm going to wear, I simply let my instincts take over and try to remember what eyeshadow combination I saw in a magazine. If I don't like it then I take it off but luckily I've never really had a problem with that, only with liquid eyeliner (sometimes its hard).

And with that I leave you for now! Remember, fashion is you not somebody that tells you what to do. You can use their ideas but style them with your own!

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed...L O V E,

Headbands: Finally Here!

So, finally I'm going to talk about headbands.

Headbands can sometimes be a pain in the a** ! You put them on and they look wonderful but 1 hour or 2 hours later, you start to feel the pressure the headband is actually doing to your skull. This leads to taking it off and ruining your hairstyle you decided to have for the day. This is why you must be careful on what type of headband you buy.

There are many types of headbands: plastic, fabric, toothed, novelty, etc. http://www.gracenglamour.com/a-range-of-headbands-to-choose-from/) <<-check for yourself ;)

Whichever, its always nice to have one! However, headbands are just like clothes: if its too tight or too loose; does it fit? The reality of the situation is that you have to try it on! The good part of doing this is that you don't have to get naked :D

I don't usually like to use the fabric ones, because they tend to be the tightest but if you keep looking for another one that might be a bit loose, then that could help. You could also try stretching them a little.

The plastics ones are also good because they don't tend to slide off like the fabric ones. The bad side on these is that some plastic ones irritate the area behind your ear. So, be careful which ones you pick.

Again, headbands are just like clothes. If you don't try it on, then how do you know it fits or looks good? So, when your shopping for headbands don't be such a lazy bum and just try them on!

*The pictures are example of what I like for headbands right now! The flowery ones are whats in for me because were in summer and I like the fabric ones because they usually make your hair stand with lots of volume (and I love that).

Thanks for reading...love ,

Gil

P.S. I totally forgot about the headbands that are made out of pearls or beads. Right now I'm trying to find one of those! They usually come out in The Tudors (t.v. series for those who don't know) ! I really like them :)

Eyebrow Shaping

This year I've been obsessed with my eyebrows for some reason. I used to not care that much for them. I would groom them when I had to but I've never really thought of shaping them that well. So, this year I really want them to be shaped and something nice to look at. To do this I googled it and found answers on wikiHow.

Here's the link if anyone's interested :

So, tomorrow for sure I will update on the headbands!

Thanks for reading,

Gil

Old Fashioned Chanel Bags

An item I've been using lately for this year have been the old fashioned chanel bags. Ever since I saw Whitney Port using them I was like: I need one of those! And no it wasn't because she was using it, I just saw the purse and I really liked it. However, since I don't have the money to buy such an expensive brand, I decided to check my mom's closet to try and find if she has something similar. And, voila, I found the exact same bag, creamed colored, and with no sign of chanel. I was so happy !

The good thing about this bag is that it makes you look professional and classy. That's if you want to look preppy. I used this purse wearing some Pacsun blue skinny jeans, white tank top, black cardigan with designs, and some mustard yellow flats. It sort of resembled the fashion from "Pretty in Pink"; the preppy look from the rich kids. But let me tell you one thing, I'm so far from rich.

Now, if you don't want that look, you can always mix it up with something else. Just because its a very fancy purse, it doesn't mean you can't wear it with something tough. So, if your going out to the movies or to the mall or any other place where you don't have to dress fancy, you can use this bag wearing some look-alike-guy clothes. What I mean is that if your wearing a pair of jeans with a complicated shirt and a leather jacket, you can totally make yourself look a bit more lady like with this bag.

Either way, what I'm trying to tell you is that don't be afraid of trying something new and different. Go out and explore! Create new looks on your own. If you see a look that you like, don't just wear the same look. Take the idea and then mix it with something else that you like; mix it with yourself!

Thank you for reading (whoever is out there reading this),

Lots of love,

Gil
